Why doTERRA Oils?

doTERRA: A Latin derivative meaning 'Gift of the Earth.' A natural and safe solution for you and your family.

We have all been inspired and blessed with the discoveries in ‘modern medicine.’ To live in an age where we have access to such medical breakthroughs is nothing short of a privilege.

As mentioned previously there is no regulatory standard that forces essential oil manufacturers to abide by purity ethics.

In 2008, doTERRA’s owners acknowledged that the industry needed a shake up, so they committed to a vision of introducing a new standard of essential oils. A grade of oils like nothing yet seen that would bridge the gap between allopathic medicine and natural solutions.

After 10 years and counting, doTERRA has millions of Wellness Advocates worldwide, ships to over 20 countries and has even been named the  Company of the Year by the World Trade Association of Utah.

The company is in the best hands possible, with 7 of the most genuine and respectful owners imaginable.

Some images of Myself, wife Rhonda and son Ryan featuring several of the doTERRA owners – David Stirling (CEO), Rob Young, Emily Wright and Dr. David Hill.

I took David, Jared Auger (Former GM of Australia) and Dr.Hill to the home ground of the famous Carlton Football Club several years ago. As you can see they loved it.

What makes doTERRA Essential Oils unique?

There are many steps from growing the plant to bottling of an oil.

Growers pick the exact species of plant that will provide the highest therapeutic benefit and partner with artesians to nurture the plants in absolute optimal climates and environments.

doTERRA Partners with expert distillers in order to extract essential oils with the most potent and beneficial chemical profiles.

Purity is guaranteed as doTERRA uses third party testing that utilize state of the art equipment, to ensure the oils are ‘exactly as nature intended.’

Why doTERRA Essential Oils

doTERRA Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade (CPTG) Essential Oils are very high quality essential oils that are powerful and effective.

The CPTG quality protocol includes the following tests:

  • Organoleptic testing
  • Microbial testing
  • Gas chromatography
  • Mass spectrometry
  • Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy (FTIR)
  • Chirality testing
  • Isotopic analysis
  • Heavy metal testing

To be categorised as this doTERRA has strict standards…

  • Free from fillers or artificial ingredients; no dilution of active qualities
  • Free of contaminants, pesticides, or chemical residues
  • Rigorously tested for standards of chemical composition
  • Cross tested using mass spectrometry and gas chromatography etc. to ensure exact purity and composition potency
  • Sourced by a global network of leading essential oil chemists and growers to ensure correct species, growth in ideal environments, and that raw plant materials were carefully harvested at the right time

CPTG Testing

Due to the absolute purity of these oils, they can be used in 3 ways:

  1. Aromatically -Smell, the most common use for essential oils
  2. Topically – On the skin
  3. Internally – Most doTERRA oils are safe to ingest

doTERRA’s oils ‘support the bodily functions’- basically the body accepts the oils as food.

My motto is ‘There is an oil for that’- not only does doTERRA have oils and products that are excellent for everyday health, but many consumers and sharers who live and breathe the oils are raw food chefs, naturopaths, massage therapists, cafe owners, elite sportspeople, and beauty therapists etc. – in Australia and many other countries. They are already used in hospitals, and by doctors and surgeons in many fields.

doTERRA sources their oils from all over the world and they are harvested in the ideal climate to ensure purity and potency.  You can find all about co-impact sourcing and doTERRA’S philanthropic practices in the next section, ‘World’s Most Ethical Sourcing.

ALWAYS REMEMBER ….

When you are talking to others about doTERRA CPTG standards, make it well known that internal use is not recommended for other oil brands.. Lemon oil from the supermarket is definitely not doTERRA CPTG standard and can contain synthetic fillers and harmful chemicals!
